The Chicago Blackhawks went 2-1 last week with plenty of help from Patrick Kane. The Hawks outscored their opponents 17-10 and Kane had a hand in 10 of those goals. He recorded one goal and nine assists to earn NHL First Star of the Week honors.

This achievement is just a blip on the radar for Kane’s week. On Tuesday, he recorded a career-high six-point game against the Ducks. The crafty winger then passed Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull for second place on the franchise’s all-time points leaderboard Saturday against the Senators.

Patrick Kane’s award-winning week is reflective of the Chicago Blackhawks’ offensive improvement as of late. Kane, Dylan Strome, and Alex DeBrincat have been filling up the stat sheet since uniting on Chicago’s top line.
