Now that Alex Caruso has returned to the Chicago Bulls lineup, injury concerns shift to other sidelined players. Lonzo Ball will likely be the next Bull to return from injury. According to Billy Donovan, Ball is doing running and lateral work but not at full speed. The team won’t b able to determine a return date until the guard can go full speed.
Lonzo Ball’s Impact
The Bulls have seen their best defensive ratings both Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso are on the floor. It will take both players being healthy to hide the Bulls’ shortcomings on the glass and defending in the paint.
On the offensive end, Ball has provides a dual-threat. He has been the facilitator on the break but can hit a needed three when the defense sags off. Ball is currently averaging 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
It seems the Chicago Bulls are on pace to get healthy at the right time. Hopefully it translates in the win column.
