The Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles has finally targeted a wide receiver. According to NFL Insider Jeff Howe, the Bears are reportedly signing former Packers wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown.
St. Brown has spent the last three seasons with the Green Bay Packers. They drafted him 207th overall in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL draft. He played in 37 games over the three years he spent with the Packers.
Equanimeous St. Brown caught 37 of his 66 targets while in Green Bay. He recorded 543 receiving yards and scored his lone touchdown in 2020. He averages 6.8 yards-after-catch-per-reception. The 6-foot-5, 214-pound receiver provides Bears’ quarterback Justin Fields with a large target. After Allen Robinson signed with the LA Rams, this is a logical move by Ryan Poles.
Equanimeous St. Brown is very familiar with the Bears’ offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. They will reunite in Chicago and look to build off the foundation they started in Green Bay.
