The Bulls are slowly getting healthy and Patrick Williams is likely to return soon. Are the G League practices enough for him to be ready?

While the Chicago Bulls continue to lose games, they continue to win on the injury report. Patrick Williams was cleared for contact in practice and assigned to the G League on Thursday.

With the Bulls on a rigorous west coast trip, the team has opted for Patrick Williams to practice with the Windy City Bulls. In the videos from practice, Williams is doing all sorts of maneuvers indicating that he may be 100%. While it’s difficult to determine Williams’ health from a few social media videos, it is still encouraging to see him putting in work. These videos likely hold more weight if Patrick Williams is at the Advocate Center.

There are some rumors out there suggesting Williams will play in a Windy City game before returning to the NBA. Nothing has been confirmed, however.

Patrick Williams will return at some point for a Bulls team that is playing poor defense in the paint. His size and length will allow him to guard the mismatches that are created by running the pick and roll on the Bulls right now.

Offensive production is needed right now at the power forward spot as well. DeMar DeRozan is seeing more double teams, meaning others need to step up. A nice addition to said group is a fully healthy Patrick Williams thanks to his versatility. Ideally, we’ll see in with Chicago soon.
