The highly anticipated Cactus League debut of newly acquired Japanese star outfielder Seiya Suzuki is finally here. Chicago Cubs manager David Ross has released the lineup for Friday’s game with Suzuki playing right field.

Needless to say, this news is extremely exciting. Suzuki was the North Siders’ big free-agent acquisition this offseason, along with starting pitcher Marcus Stroman. The Japanese slugger signed a five-year, $85 million deal last week and has been taking live batting practice against Cubs pitchers.

Now, it’s time for exhibition game action. The Chicago Cubs take on Colorado Rockies today at Sloan Park in their eighth Spring Training contest. First pitch is at 3:05 PM CDT and Marquee Sports Network will carry the broadcast.

Here’s how the full Cubs’ lineup will look:

  1. Clint Frazier – LF
  2. Seiya Suzuki – RF
  3. Ian Happ – DH
  4. Willson Contreras – C
  5. Jason Heyward – CF
  6. Jonathan Villar – 3B
  7. Nick Madrigal – 2B
  8. Nico Hoerner – SS
  9. Alfonso Rivas – 1B
