As announced by the brand last week, a mystery AEW signing was set to face The Bunny in the first qualifying match for the Owen Hart Memorial Foundation Women’s Tournament. Turns out it’s Toni Storm

As a former Progress, Stardom, and NXT star, Storm has competed around the globe and gathered championships along the way. In her debut match against The Bunny, Storm was strong right from the jump in a fairly competitive match. However, in the end the newcomer reigned victorious.

After being granted her release by WWE back in December, Storm seemed to be a lock for the AEW Women’s Division. Before signing with AEW, however, the young star made a splash and some cash by starting an OnlyFans page. Having started her OnlyFans in addition to signing on with AEW is yet another reminder why AEW is the place to be. Yes, AEW is a new, exciting brand of wrestling. However, the humans behind these beloved characters are allowed to express themselves fully and are not held back.

Becoming All Elite and winning in her first match entering the Owen Hart Women’s Tournament will not only pay dividends for Toni Storm, but for the entirety of the AEW Women’s Division. Adding another young, competitive wrestler to the mix allows for fresh matchups and new angles to be pursued. I’m excited to see who Storm faces next in the tournament and what else is in store for her in All Elite Wrestling!
