The newest member of the Chicago White Sox will suit up in black and white for the first time on Saturday night. After coming over from the Dodgers in a trade Friday, AJ Pollock will bat second and play right field for the White Sox when they visit the Diamondbacks tonight.
Last season with the Dodgers, Pollock slashed .297/.355/.536 with 21 home runs and 69 RBIs. He owns a .281/.338/.482 slash line with 126 home runs and 414 RBIs in 895 career games.
Adding Pollock to the mix fills a glaring need in the outfield and solidifies the White Sox lineup as one of the best in the American League. Additionally, the 34-year-old veteran brings 34 games of playoff experience, which includes a World Series ring, to a Chicago team that has exited early from the playoffs the last two seasons.
You can catch AJ Pollock and the Chicago White Sox in action tonight at 8:10 PM CDT. The game will not air on local stations in Chicago, but the Diamondbacks will carry a TV broadcast on Bally Sports Arizona. Out-of-market fans can access the stream through MLB TV.
