The Chicago Blackhawks have identified their next TV play-by-play announcer. Chris Vosters will replace Pat Foley, who will retire following the 2021-22 season.
Vosters has called occasional Blackhawks games this season as part of a rotating cast of broadcasters. Jason Ross Jr., Stephen Nelson, and Mike Monaco have also occupied the TV play-by-play role while Colby Cohen, Nick Olczyk, and Caley Chelios have rotated in the color commentary position.
Chris Vosters attended the University of Wisconsin and began his post-college career on the radio call for the Great Lakes Loons, a Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate. He also called various high school sports games in addition to college basketball for Northwood University.
In recent years, Vosters has called games for the Big Ten Network, FOX Sports, the ESPN family of networks, NBC Sports, and Stadium. Now, he will have massive shoes to fill as he replaces Pat Foley as the Chicago Blackhawks TV play-by-play announcer.
