Saturday night brought about a potential bombshell involving two of the greatest TV shows of all time. With Better Call Saul Season 6 set to air on AMC on April 18, the show’s social media accounts have recently been posting promos and teasers to build hype. By far the most intriguing post to date, Better Call Saul tweeted a photo of Breaking Bad mainstays Walter White and Jesse Pinkman captioned “They’re coming back.”
This post rightfully set the internet ablaze with speculation. Fans have been wondering for years if Walter White or Jesse Pinkman would make an appearance in the prequel show.
The main plot of Better Call Saul takes place prior to the events of Breaking Bad. But Saul Goodman’s post-BrBa identity, Gene, also appears in black-and-white scenes that have been building up for years. This tweet containing a picture of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in color means we may see them in Saul’s build-up saga.
Right on cue, the account followed up a few minutes later with a post confirming that Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will appear in Better Call Saul Season 6.
“I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah,” Vince Gilligan told Variety.
And there you have it. Gilligan and Peter Gould are masters of drama — both behind the camera and on social media. Better Call Saul Season 6 should be one for the history books, so catch up on Season 5 on Netflix beforehand.
