The Chicago Steel swept the Green Bay Gamblers this weekend to clinch a first-round bye in the 2022 Clark Cup Playoffs.
The Steel (36-12-8-1) defeated the Gamblers 5-2 on Friday and 10-3 on Saturday to secure time off before beginning their quest to repeat as Clark Cup champions. The Omaha Lancers were the last USHL team to repeat in 1994.

Chicago and Tri-City will each have five games remaining before the playoffs after Sunday.
