When it rains, it pours. Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan answered questions from the media this morning. One of the topics brought up was guard Alex Caruso. Caruso was injured in the fourth quarter in the Bulls’ game four loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Caruso remained on the ground for a bit before taking an elbow to the face and heading to the back to get checked out. He was being looked at for concussion-like symptoms. Right now, he is considered day-to-day and is in jeopardy of missing game five in Milwaukee.
In his four games so far in the 2022 playoffs, Caruso has played well. He provides defense, hustle, and playmaking. All three things are desperately needed by the Bulls. In the series, Caruso has averaged 6.3 PPG, 4.3 APG, and 2.8 RPG. He’s added in five steals, four blocks, and has shot 39% from downtown.
If Caruso were to miss game five, the Bulls may not stand a chance against the Bucks. For the team and fans’ sake, let’s hope he will be feeling better to suit up and try to make this series competitive.
