Bears Select CB Kyler Gordon With 39th Pick In 2022 NFL Draft

With the 39th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected cornerback Kyler Gordon from Washington.

Chicago Bears legend Matt Forte and Illinois native Sebastian Maniscalco took to the stage to announce the Bears’ first draft pick. The Chicago Bears selected cornerback Kyler Gordon with the 39th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Gordon played in 29 games during his four seasons at Washington. He recorded 75 solo tackles and two interceptions, both of which came in 2021. Gordon stands six feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

“I’m going to bring a lot of energy. I want to be a guy that comes in to produce and be a great person for this team.”

Kyler Gordon has great ball skills and awareness in the secondary. The Bears will place him alongside Jaylon Johnson and add an additional skill to their defense.
