The Chicago Bears initially held the 148th pick before trading back with the Buffalo Bills for picks 168 and 203. With the 168th selection, the Bears selected Southern Utah offensive lineman Braxton Jones.
At Southern Utah, Braxton Jones has started on the offensive line for the past three seasons. He has played 29 games at left tackle, versus one game at right tackle. Additionally, he earned All-Conference and All-American recognition twice. While he has only played one career game against a Power-5 opponent, Jones has some big upside coming out of FCS Southern Utah.
On day two of the NFL Draft, the Bears added CB Kyler Gordon, S Jaquan Brisker, and WR/KR/PR Velus Jones Jr. On day three, they have now added Braxton Jones with multiple picks remaining in the final rounds of the draft.
