The Chicago Bears used pick No. 150 to trade for picks 166 and 207 in the 2022 NFL Draft. They later flipped pick No. 166 for a few more. However, they stayed put with pick No. 207, where they selected center Doug Kramer from Illinois.
Kramer is listed at 6-foot-2 and 305 lbs. A native of Hinsdale, Illinois, Kramer was a four-year starter for the Fighting Illini. He played in 8, 12, 12, 5, and 2 games, respectively, from 2017 to 2021, which includes his redshirt year.
With this selection, Ryan Poles continues on his mission to bolster the Chicago Bears’ offensive line and protect QB Justin Fields. Doug Kramer becomes the third offensive lineman in the Bears’ 2022 NFL Draft, joining Braxton Jones and Zachary Thomas.
