The Chicago Blackhawks parted ways with associate head coach Marc Crawford and assistant coach Rob Cookson, the team confirmed to media Sunday. Emily Kaplan of ESPN first reported the story.

Crawford joined the Blackhawks in June 2019 as an assistant coach and was promoted to associated head coach last November. The 61-year-old had one year remaining on his contract.

The Blackhawks hired Cookson in November to help interim head coach Derek King following the departures of Jeremy Colliton and assistants Sheldon Brookbank and Tomas Mitell. Cookson, also 61, had his contract expired and not renewed by Chicago.

King remains the Chicago Blackhawks interim head coach, but his future remains undecided. Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson has said in previous media interviews King will be a candidate for the head coach position.
