Yeah, I’m not so sure about this one, chief. Earlier this morning on ESPN, Keyshawn, JWill, and Max tweeted out one of the most ridiculous hypotheticals I’ve ever seen. Of course, it involves Zach LaVine. Many fans are on the fence about LaVine and his future here in Chicago. Is he worth the max? Is he not? Well, that’s up for debate. What I think we can all agree on is that this hypothetical trade is idiotic.
I don’t care to focus on whether or not the New York Knicks or Los Angeles Lakers get better from this deal. What I do care about is the fact the Bulls get worse here. Yes, the Bulls need size, but what they don’t need is another inconsistent big. That’s what they’d be getting in Julius Randle. Randle had a down third season with the Knicks compared to his second year. He did average 20 points and 10 boards a game, but he shot poorly from the field and deep. That kind of spacing around DeMar DeRozan wouldn’t work out well. That’s just my opinion.

Yeah, we aren’t going to waste our time talking about Evan Fournier. He’s a good role player for sure, but LaVine is an All-Star. A two-time All-Star, in fact. Even with the knee injury that plagued him for much of the 2021-22 season, he still averaged about 25 points per game. He has shown time and time again that he can be a pivotal piece on a championship team.
