The NFL schedule release is such an anticipated day for every fan base. However, there are always some insiders who break games and matchups before the official release. In the case of the Chicago Bears, a number of games have been leaked. Without further ado, let’s get into the rumors.

Note: This will be updated as more games become leaked.

Week 1 vs. 49ers

Per Danny Parkins, it appears the Chicago Bears will host the San Francisco 49ers in Week One. If this is truly the case, then it looks like a showdown between two quarterbacks from the 2021 NFL Draft class will face off in form of Trey Lance and Justin Fields.

Week 2 @ Packers (SNF)

Of course, would it be a Bears season without playing the Packers, at Lambeau, on national television? It never is. As annual tradition, it appears that it will be Bears/Packers again in primetime, with this iteration occurring on Sunday Night Football.

Week 6 vs Commanders (TNF)

The new-name Commanders will make a trip to Soldier Field in Week Six for some Thursday Night Football action. Ideally this will be a battle of Justin Fields vs… Carson Wentz. Although not the flashiest Thursday night matchup, Bears fans certainly hope it’s a win at home regardless.

Week 7 @ New England (MNF)

Oh boy. There’s nothing like going into Foxboro in primetime. For the Bears, they’ll have back-to-back primetime games. However, with Week Six being a Thursday night game, the extra few days to get to Monday night might benefit the Bears. They still have their work cut out for them, but it will be an interesting Monday night game.

Week 8 @ Cowboys

Not a primetime game, but the Bears will venture to Jerry World to face the Cowboys in Week Eight. With a short week to prepare, it’s safe to believe this game is one the Bears need to be ready for. Head coach Matt Eberflus coached in Dallas, but he hasn’t been there in years. It will likely be nice for Coach Flus if the Bears can scoop a win.

Week 14 Bye Week

Late bye weeks are never fun, especially for a first-year head coach. The Bears will hopefully be healthy and able to handle such a late bye week. Only time will tell here.

Week 16 vs Buffalo

In a common sense world, the Bears will be ready for the season to end, with hopeful growth from Justin Fields, and the Bills will be gearing up for a deep playoff run. In addition, this is a Christmas Eve matchup, so maybe Bears fans will receive heartburn for Christmas from the Bills (yikes)?

Week 18 Vikings

It’s uncertain if this game is in Minneapolis or at Solider Field, but the Bears and Vikings will end the season together again. The NFL loves division games in the final week, and with the Lions and Packers set to play, it’ll be Bears/Vikings just like it was in the first-ever Week 18 last year.

UPDATE: Week 4 @ NY Giants, Week 12 @ NY Jets

The Bears make a pair of trips to the Big Apple this season as they visit both the Jets and Giants. The Giants will be an early season matchup while the Jets game is the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The Bears are off this year on Turkey Day.
