The Tennessee Smokies, the Chicago Cubs‘ Double-A affiliate, threw a combined no-hitter in a 5-0 win against the Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Bay Rays) on Wednesday.

Cubs pitching prospects Peyton Remy, Danis Correa, and Eury Ramos combined to throw the no-hitter at Smokies Stadium. Remy threw eight strikeouts and walked just two in six innings. Correa tossed the next two innings and stuck out three and walked only one. Ramos finished the game with two strikeouts in the ninth.

Darius Hill hit a solo home run to right field, and Bryce Ball followed with a two-run homer to center for a 3-0 lead in the first. Ball then smacked a RBI triple to right, and scored on Chase Strumpf’s double to left.

The Smokies (16-12) boasts four prospects in the top 20 of the organization: pitchers Braylin Marquez (No. 10) and Ryan Jansen (No. 17), catcher Miguel Amaya (No. 13), and outfielder Alexander Canario (No. 18). Tennessee is second in the Southern League North Division.
