The Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees will have to wait to play the first contest of a three-game weekend series. The Yankees announced that Friday’s game has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The American League foes will make up the contest on Sunday at 2:05 PM CT. The makeup game will be the first of a split doubleheader with the series finale beginning no earlier than 6:05 PM CT.

The New York Yankees have the White Sox number so far this season. Last weekend on the South Side, the Bronx Bombers took three of four games in dominating fashion. Entering play Friday, New York holds the best record in baseball at 28-10.

On the other hand, the Chicago White Sox have not performed up to expectations this season. At 19-19, the Pale Hose trail the Minnesota Twins by three games in the AL Central. Coming off a series win against the Kansas City Royals, Chicago looks to break through offensively this weekend in New York.
