Have a couple million lying around? Don’t know what to do with it? Are you also a big Michael Jordan fan? Well, you are in luck! Because right now you could get yourself a piece of history.
There is a 1 of 1 Upper Deck Michael Jordan card that features an actual piece of the court on which Jordan hit his famous last shot on as a Chicago Bull in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals. In addition to that, His Royal Airness also signed the card.
The back of the card has a congratulatory note that guarantees the piece’s authenticity.
The card is so rare that bidding on the Goldin Auctions is already up to $140,000. Given the trends of how Jordan cards typically sell and the rarity of this card could possibly sell for over $1 million.
This is not the first high-priced Michael Jordan item that went up for auction this year. In March, an unused ticket from Jordan’s first game with the Chicago Bulls sold for $468,000. The most obscure item yet has to be a Jordan smoked cigar, which sold for $1,558.80.
With the sports card market booming again, it will be interesting to see how much this card sells for and what the future holds for similarly rare cards.
