Another week is behind us and we are another week closer to Double Or Nothing. The PPV card is filling out and looks to be a very interesting one. So, let’s take a look back at a week full of All Elite Wrestling action.

The Good

Wow, we need more of Konosuke Takeshita on Dynamite! He was able to hang with the AEW World Champion in a great match.

Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland made quick work of the Workhorseman and the issues with Team Taz continued. Both teams are ranked and looking for Tag Team Gold. Well, the current champions have issues with both teams and they are tired of waiting. So, they threw down a challenge for a three-way match for the AEW Tag Team Championships at Double Or Nothing.

Wardlow is an absolute monster! He took all 10 lashes from MJF and Spears. He wasn’t bothered by them, so MJF got bothered by that and had to attack him.

Just as I thought, Kyle O’Reilly vs Rey Fenix was fantastic. The differences in their wrestling styles worked out so well, easily the best match of the week.

The Face to Face between The Jericho Appreciation Society and Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz was quick and to the point. Those last five guys just want violence and to take care of business. So, Moxley said they wouldn’t be doing some “BS match” that Jericho and his Sports entertainers would like. They will be in an Anarchy In The Arena match.

To add to the craziness of the Wednesday night, Maki Itoh returned to face Britt Baker in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. Fans were so happy to see Maki Itoh return, even if she came up short in this match. The next round will be fun with Baker now going on to face Toni Storm.

After a very solid trios match with Dark Order and Fuego Del Sol vs House Of Black we got the announcement we were waiting for. House Of Black vs Death Triangle is officially set for Double Or Nothing!

Blackpool Combat Club vs Dante Martin & Matt Sydal was a fun and exciting match. This was another showcase of different styles that meshed so well during the match.

The Bad

The reveal for the Joker against Samoa Joe was a bit disappointing. It ended up being Johnny Elite (Formerly John Morrison). Fans expected a little more from that. In addition, the match fell a little flat too.

Joe’s issues with Jay Lethal and crew are still present. That is still leading to a match after the tournament.

The only other major negative from this week was the main event from Dynamite. It seemed rushed and the timing of the show should have been worked out better to give more time to a major match like that.

The In Between

The main event of Dynamite was a weird one, Jeff Hardy faced Adam Cole in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. But sadly, the match seemed rushed and didn’t turn out well. The right person ended up winning (Cole, even though Jeff Hardy went through). But following that match, it seemed as if we were on our way to see The Hardys vs The Young Bucks at the PPV.

Shawn Spears vs Big Damo was a short match that was used to get Spears ready to face Wardlow in a steel cage match on the Dynamite before the PPV. But, Big Damo looked solid in losing fashion.

Kris Statlander vs Red Velvet was a decent match, but it was predictable. Following Statlander’s victory, she was attacked by Hogan and Velvet. Ruby Soho came out for the save and a brawl broke out. The TBS Champion helped her teammates gain control until Anna Jay came out. It was then announced that she should be challenging Jade for the TBS Championship at Double Or Nothing.
