The Chicago White Sox have been without a mainstay in their rotation all season. As of this Sunday, they are one step closer to getting him back. Lance Lynn will take the mound for the Charlotte Knights in his first of what figures to be three rehab starts as he works his way back to the White Sox rotation.

Lance Lynn suffered a knee injury during a Spring Training start on April 2. The injury resulted in Lynn requiring surgery to repair a torn hamstring tendon in his right knee. While Lynn has been on the shelf, the White Sox have turned to starts from Vince Velasquez, Johnny Cueto, and Davis Martin to fill in the starting rotation.

With the news of the White Sox designating Dallas Kuechel for assignment on Saturday, Lynn figures to be the final piece of the White Sox five-man rotation along with Lucas Giolito, Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech, and Johnny Cueto.
