Chicago Sky at Washington Mystics Preview: Running It back In the Capital

The Sky head to Washington for another matchup with the Mystics.

After a 91-82 victory over the Washington Mystics, the Chicago Sky head to our nation’s capital to play the Mystics once again.

This will be the Sky’s third matchup this season against Washington. The first meeting was back on May 22nd, when Candace Parker went off and recorded a triple-double.

Sunday evening, the Sky picked apart an Elena Delle Donne-less Mystics squad, as four Chicago players scored double-digit points. Candace Parker led the way with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists.

After being out in Sunday’s matchup due to rest, expect Delle Donne to play Wednesday at home. The former Sky forward averages 17.5 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and 1.3 BPG.

The duo of Delle Donne and rookie center, Shakira Austin, gave the Chicago Sky headaches in their first matchup, as the two combined for 31 points. The Sky need to find a way to contain the two bigs if they want to continue their winning streak against Washington.

Wednesday night should be nothing less than competitive entertainment.
