The Chicago White Sox announced that Eloy Jimenez suffered a minor setback during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte. The club says Jimenez is suffering from “normal leg soreness,” which is expected after his hamstring surgery.

Jimenez’s minor league rehab stint will be put on pause for the next five days to give him some rest. The hope is that he can return to action with the Knights next week to continue getting his reps in before he returns to Chicago.

In his six games with Charlotte, Jimenez is slashing .235/.316/.235. He has no home runs and hasn’t driven in any runs. In 11 games with the White Sox before his injury, Jimenez was slashing .222/.256/.333 with one home run and 7 RBIs across 39 plate appearances.
