Chicago White Sox catcher, Yasmani Grandal, exited Saturday afternoon’s game against the Texas Rangers. Grandal, who started behind the plate in the last four games for the White Sox just recently began to swing a hot bat.

During the third inning, Yasmani Grandal recorded his second hit of the ballgame but felt something in his right leg while running to first base. After attempting to stretch it out and a visit from the White Sox training staff, Grandal was eventually replaced by pinch-runner Reese McGuire. Here is a video of how the play went down.

Over the last five games, including Saturday’s contest, Yasmani Grandal has recorded seven hits including a massive double during Friday night’s ballgame. Reese McGuire takes over and will see the bulk of the action behind the plate if Grandal misses an extended period of time.
