After being honored at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, the Chicago Sky shift their focus to a Friday night matchup against the Atlanta Dream.
After taking down Atlanta in their first meeting a couple of weeks ago, the Sky look to extend their two-game winning streak against the Dream.
In that June 3 contest, the worldwide MVP Kahleah Copper scored 21 points and led the Sky to a 73-65 victory.
Amidst a three-game losing streak, the Dream have been outscored twice by double digits. Atlanta is 3-4 in Eastern Conference play, while Chicago is 7-1 against conference opponents.
Atlanta is a young, scrappy bunch that currently touts the best defensive rating in the WNBA (93.5), while Chicago ranks fifth (97.2).
Offensively, the Dream are a team that loves to shoot. 17.0 percent of their points come from mid-range (first in the league) and 31.1 percent are from three-pointers (fourth in the league).
Rhyne Howard, who is averaging 16.3 points per game, leads the way for Atlanta.
Look for Emma Meesseman to have a big game. The former WNBA Finals MVP has been red hot as of late, averaging 23.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, and 4.5 APG in her last two games.
In the first matchup with Chicago, Meesseman scored 16 points and shot 60 percent from the field. She also picked up six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
