The Chicago White Sox are coming off the high of a three-game sweep over the Detroit Tigers. Following a day off on Thursday, the White Sox begin a three-game series with the Astros in Houston.

The South Siders are one game under .500 with a 30-31 record and swept a three-game series for only the second time this season. The Astros are on a two-game winning streak and lead the AL West division with a 39-24 record.

Chicago has scored three or more runs in seven straight games, winning four of those seven games. The bats are coming alive amid injuries and pitching issues. Although the Astros have a potent offense, in their last seven games, they’ve scored more than three runs in all but one game.

Within that span, the Astros lost four of the seven games mentioned, including a 5-1 loss to Miami last Sunday.
