Overcoming a 15-point deficit, the Indiana Fever came back to take down the Chicago Sky 89-87. Early on, it seemed as if the Sky would run away with the game. They were up 13 points at halftime with Kahleah Copper leading the way, recording 16 points. Chicago was rolling.

Then in the third quarter, the Indiana Fever came back and took the lead. From then on, it was a battle of who was going to own the lead and in the end, it was the Fever’s game for the taking.

Rookie forward, NaLyssa Smith, was on another planet, scoring from all over the court while controlling the boards. Smith ended with 26 points and 11 rebounds for Indiana.

Missing Candace Parker, Kahleah Copper Stepped Up

For the second game in a row, the team was without their two-time MVP, Candace Parker, who has been dealing with some knee issues.

However, Kahleah Copper stepped up again. On Sunday afternoon, she finished with 28 points and four rebounds. She did everything for the Chicago Sky.

Shooting over 60 percent from the floor (61.5%) and behind the arc (66.7%), Copper was lights out.

Despite the game’s outcome, Kahleah Copper continues to improve as the season progresses.
