After a scorching hot week for Kahleah Copper, the Chicago Sky guard earned her first WNBA Player of the Week honors.

Copper is the first Sky player to receive the award since Courtney Vandersloot did so last season for the week of June 21, 2021.

As the Sky went 1-1 during that stretch, the 2021 WNBA Finals MVP averaged 25.5 PPG, 7.0 RPG, and 2.5 APG. Copper also leads the league in fast-break points with 4.1 per game.

The Chicago Sky continue their three-game road trip as they take on A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces tonight. Along with Kahleah Copper, Wilson earned her third Player of the Week honor for the Western Conference after averaging 25.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 3.0 BPG over the last week.

The battle of the Players of the Week should be sheer entertainment. Tip-off from Michelob ULTRA Arena is at 9:00 PM CT.
