The Chicago White Sox made a pair of roster moves involving right-handed pitchers on Wednesday morning. As Matt Foster returns from the Bereavement List, Davis Martin will head to Triple-A Charlotte.
Matt Foster went on the Bereavement List Sunday prior to the White Sox’s series finale in Houston. In his place, outfielder Adam Haseley joined the MLB roster. On the season, Foster has a 5.13 ERA, 4.04 FIP, and 29 strikeouts across 26.1 innings.
After providing bullpen depth amidst an injury-riddled stretch for the Sox, Davis Martin returns to the Charlotte Knights. The 25-year-old provided 5.1 scoreless innings of relief on June 15 vs. Detroit before being thrust into a tough situation Tuesday against Toronto. Martin allowed three runs on three hits and two walks in a third of an inning out of the bullpen, but the Chicago White Sox rallied for an extra-innings victory.
