Another week, another honor for a Chicago Sky guard. On Monday afternoon, the WNBA named Courtney Vandersloot the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. She follows teammate Kahleah Copper, who took home the award last week.

Vandersloot’s recognition comes in the wake of one of the biggest weeks in team history. The Sky took home three straight wins to close out the slate.

On Tuesday, Chicago put together a 28-point comeback, the biggest in WNBA history, against the Las Vegas Aces. Vandersloot led the way with a season-high 25 points and eight assists.

She followed that performance with 15 points in 16 minutes on Thursday, helping the Sky to a dominant 23-point win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Finally, Vandersloot finished the week with 18 points, six assists, and the game-winning three-point shot to seal a Sky victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.

During that three-game stretch, Courtney Vandersloot averaged 19.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. The three-time All-Star currently ranks second in assists per game (6.7), only trailing Mystics’ guard Natasha Cloud (7.4).

Vandersloot and the Chicago Sky will be back in action against the Connecticut Sun at home on Wednesday, June 29 at 11 AM CT.
