Reds at Cubs Series Preview: How to Watch, Probables, and More

The Chicago Cubs return to Wrigley Field for a six-game homestand, which starts Tuesday with a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Cubs (28-45) are coming off a series victory against the St. Louis Cardinals, who they beat 3-0 and 6-5 in 10 innings. Chicago then finally got a rest day for the first time since June 9. That rest day was followed by seven straight losses during a 10-game losing streak. But those days are behind the Cubs, who have split their past six games – all against NL Central competition.

The Reds (25-47) have dropped eight of their past 10 games, which includes a seven-game losing streak. Cincinnati, much like the Cubs, has struggled this season and is 3 1/2 half games back in the basement of the NL Central.
