According to reports from Dario Melendez of WISN12 News, the Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Minnesota Wild in Milwaukee this upcoming season. Melendez first reported that the Blackhawks would play a game in Milwaukee back in May.
While the original reports did not include the Minnesota Wild, it seems as if now the opponent has been set. According to the reports, an official announcement from the NHL will come sometime in August. Further details regarding the Blackhawks’ “away” game will accompany that announcement.
The Chicago Blackhawks are no stranger to participating in the NHL’s promotional-style games over the past decade. With multiple appearances in outdoor events, as well as starting their season overseas just a few years ago, it is no surprise that they are once again involved in this type of event.
