On Tuesday morning, the WNBA announced that Chicago Sky head coach James Wade is the Coach of the Month.

Wade earns the honor after leading the Sky to a 9-2 record in the month of June. The highlight win of the month was no doubt the 28-point comeback against the Las Vegas Aces on June 21. The two losses came against the Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics.

Sitting atop the league standings, the Sky averaged a league-best in assists (24.0 APG) and the second-best in points (86.0 PPG) in June.

On top of this honor for Wade, the team has seen Kahleah Copper and Courtney Vandersloot named Player of the Week in June. The Sky have four players representing them in the upcoming All-Star game in their home arena as well, where Wade will coach.

This Sky team looks better than they were last year. Easily having the deepest roster in the league, they are still and always were the team to beat in 2022.
