The Chicago Cubs head west to visit the Los Angeles Dodgers for a four-game series, starting Thursday at Dodger Stadium.
The Cubs (34-48) defeated the Brewers 8-3 and 2-1 the past two days to take a three-game series in Milwaukee. Chicago has won five of its past six series (Braves, Cardinals, Reds, Red Sox and Brewers) since a 10-game losing streak.
The Dodgers (52-29) are coming off a series sweep against the Colorado Rockies. Los Angeles, the National League’s best team, has won seven of its past eight games – all against NL West teams.
The Cubs and Dodgers are each playing well, but Los Angeles’ depth should stand out and stunt Chicago’s momentum.
