Violent By Design: House Of Black

Malakai Black has been a force of destruction and violence in AEW, which is now amplified alongside fellow House Of Black members.

Since Malakai Black arrived in All Elite Wrestling, he has been on a path of destruction and violence. His feud with Cody Rhodes featured exceptional storytelling. The darkness started to creep in once Malakai was added to the House Of Black with close friend Brody King after running through the Varsity Blonds and even seeming to get into the mind of Julia Hart. Over time, Hart seemed to become more and more detached from the Varsity Blonds.

During that period, they also started to have issues with Death Triangle and we saw another addition to The House Of Black in Buddy Matthews, who helped even out the sides. That feud brought about several intense matches between all different combinations of Death Triangle and House of Black. The best was at Double Or Nothing in a Trios match, where we finally saw the long-term turn of Julia Hart happen and she finally joined House Of Black.

Since that PPV, a one-on-one match featuring PAC vs. Buddy Matthews upped the intensity. During the Forbidden Door PPV, both PAC and Malakai Black were involved in an awesome Four-Way Match for the newest Championship in All Elite Wrestling, the All-Atlantic Championship. PAC emerged victorious after taking the win away from Malakai Black.

It didn’t take long for House Of Black to be right back in the mix for something of significance. On Rampage last week, Brody King won the first-ever Royal Rampage match, which earned him the right to face Jon Moxley on last night’s Dynamite for the Interim AEW World Championship.

This is where more violence came into play. To no surprise, these two went to war in their match. Both groups love the violence and always bring it. They seem to be on a course for war again in the near future, so keep your popcorn handy.

Now that this match is behind us, what’s next? What do you as a fan want to see next for both teams?
