Chicago White Sox minor league outfielder Oscar Colas will play in the 2022 MLB All-Star Futures Game. Colas will be the only White Sox prospect to participate in this year’s event.
Colas has impressed during his first season within the White Sox system. He is slashing .316/.374/.487 with seven home runs, 13 doubles, and three triples. Across 257 plate appearances in 56 games, he has driven in 42 runs.
The 23-year-old has accomplished all of this while playing in High-A Winston-Salem. If he keeps up this level of production, he could find himself rising through the ranks quickly.
Oscar Colas signed with the Chicago White Sox in January of 2022. Previously touted as a dual threat, ala Shohei Ohtani, he has transitioned into a full-time outfielder in the Sox system and it seems to have paid off for him.
The 2022 MLB All-Star Futures Game will take place at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, July 16 at 6 PM CT. Check out the full rosters here.
