The Chicago White Sox have selected starting pitcher Jonathan Cannon with the No. 101 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. Cannon is a Junior at the University of Georgia. He is listed at 6-foot-6 and 213 lbs, according to the university’s website.

Cannon made 13 starts, notching a 9-4 record and 68 strikeouts across 78.1 innings for the Bulldogs in 2022. His pitch mix includes a mid-90s fastball, changeup, slider, and a curveball.

According to Carlos Collazo of Baseball America, Cannon was the No. 2 on the publication’s best available board entering Day 2 of the MLB Draft.

Additionally, Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball really likes the value in this particular draft slot for the Chicago White Sox.
