The Chicago Fire announced Friday that they moved their matches later this season against Inter Miami and New England Revolution to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.
Chicago will play Miami on Saturday, Sept. 10, and New England on Sunday, Oct. 9.
The venue change is a result of the NFL’s Chicago Bears‘ league agreement with Soldier Field, which does not allow the Fire to play matches within five days of a Bears home game. The Bears are scheduled to play their regular-season and home opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Sept. 11. The Bears will also play the Washington Commanders on “Thursday Night Football” on Oct. 13 at Soldier Field.
Additionally, the Fire’s Aug. 28 match against CF Montreal and former Fire midfielder Djordje Mihailovic has been rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 27. Kickoff is set for 7 PM.
