Chicago Bulls Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas provided some front-office updates today. The Bulls did some shuffling among their basketball operations personnel, and there are some new faces on the management team.
A notable move pertains to the Assistant General Manager position. JJ Polk was brought in in 2020 as an assistant GM, though his name is not on this press release. Taking the role of Assistant GM now is Pat Connelly. Polk and Connelly joined the organization together in 2020. Connelly previously served as Vice President of Player Personnel.
Those will not be the only changes, however. Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times hinted that a new sponsor will grace the Chicago Bulls’ jersey in 2022-23, though there is no official announcement as of this writing. The previous sponsor was Zenni Optical, which appears to be departing ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season.
