Several Chicago Bulls players plan to work out together in Los Angeles this week. Led by DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, several key rotational players will travel to L.A. to get some offseason work in.
Alex Caruso, Ayo Dosunmu, Patrick Williams, and Coby White will join DeRozan and LaVine. This Chicago Bulls team has high hopes heading into the 2022-23 season. The team’s closeness was well documented last year, and it’s refreshing to see them prepare together for the upcoming season.
The Bulls’ front office has optimism that this group can compete in the upcoming season. Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley preached “continuity” this offseason, which is why they kept the core together.
The chemistry among the team seems strong from the outside looking in. The only thing that stood in the way of the Bulls making a deeper run in last season’s playoffs was health. On that front, there has been no word if Lonzo Ball will join the offseason workouts. Ball is still working his way back from a knee injury that caused him to miss the majority of the 2021-22 season.
The younger players like Williams, Dosunmu, and White should greatly benefit from this. DeRozan is coming off a career year and LaVine just signed the most expensive contract in Chicago Bulls history. Building a strong base in the offseason is paramount if the Bulls want to make a push in 2022-23. It seems they’re taking the correct steps as a team to be as prepared as possible with the season a little over two months away.
