It’s a late one in South Loop Tuesday night as the Chicago Sky host the Dallas Wings for the final head-to-head matchup of the season. After winning the previous two meetings, the Sky are looking to sweep the season series against the Wings.
Chicago is coming off back-to-back wins this past weekend against the Liberty and Sun. Courtney Vandersloot, who earned her second WNBA Player of the Week award this season, averaged 19.5 PPG, 7.0 RPG and 10.5 APG to help lead the way.
As of right now, Candace Parker’s return to play has upgraded to questionable. The future Hall of Famer has missed back-to-back games due to a non-COVID illness. Outside of Parker, the Sky’s injury report is clean.
The Wings are currently in the playoff hunt along with six other teams. They hold the sixth spot in the standings with a 13-16 record. Dallas is ahead of the Mercury, Sparks, Dream, Lynx, and Liberty.
The Wings are led by the great Arike Ogunbowale, who ranks fourth in the WNBA in points per game with 19.9. She also scored the most points against the Sky in a single game this season (28) on July 22.
