On Saturday, the Chicago Bears got a boost to their offensive line as Teven Jenkins finally made his 2022 training camp debut. He was previously unavailable due to an undisclosed reason and swirling trade rumors while the Bears suggested his absence was injury-related.
Nevertheless, Jenkins returns on a day when the Bears are practicing in full pads, so his abilities will be on full display.
Jenkins was a 2021 second-round pick by former GM Ryan Pace. However, his first season did not go as planned as Jenkins missed significant time dealing with a back injury. Although, he did return to play the final six games for the Bears.
If healthy, Jenkins could prove to be a game-changer along the offensive line. His physicality and raw skill set are what made him such a highly touted draft prospect in the first place.
Hopefully, now Teven Jenkins can start fresh and truly become the offensive lineman the Chicago Bears think he can be.
