The Chicago Bears were busy over the weekend. The team, determined to re-shape the roster, added on the defensive side of the ball. As a result, the Bears announced the signing of OLB Jeremiah Attaochu.

The Nigerian born linebacker will be entering his eighth season in the NFL. Attaochu has played for the Chargers, Jets, and Broncos. Now with the Bears, he will provide much needed depth and serve as a rotational outside linebacker. It is yet to be determined whether this signing spells the end for Barkevious Mingo as a Chicago Bear.

During Attaochu’s time with the Broncs, he played in 25 games and made 10 starts. This past season, the 28-year-old logged five sacks and 31 total tackles.
