Bears Agree to Sign DT Justin Jones to Two-Year Deal
According to Ian Rapoport, the Chicago Bears have reportedly come to an agreement on a deal with defensive tackle Justin Jones on Friday. GM Ryan Poles quickly pivoted after the deal with defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi fell through due to a failed physical.
Furthermore, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting the signing as a two-year deal.
Justin Jones will replace Ogunjobi at the three-technique position in the Bears' new defensive scheme. The 25-year-old defensive tackle was a third round pick for the Chargers in 2018. In his four years with that organization, he has logged the following stats over 51 games:
