The Chicago Bears are about to kick off against the Detroit Lions but they're going to be without several players. There are two significant wide receivers listed as out for this game and both of them are healthy scratches.
Bears Inactive Players vs. Detroit
Prior to the noon kickoff, the Chicago Bears officially listed Velus Jones Jr. and N'Keal Harry out as healthy scratches.
Rounding out the inactive list is:
- Kindle Vildor
- Al-Quadin Muhammad
- Teven Jenkins
- Harrison Hand
- Ja'Tyre Carter
Just one day after elevating Harrison Hand to the active roster, the Bears will be without him. It's also not entirely surprising to see Jones Jr. and Harry out for this game with the return of Byron Pringle.
However, it's unfortunate that Teven Jenkins will miss this game against the Lions. Jenkins has been relatively consistent after going through his own struggles. He's been one of the higher-rated offensive linemen in the NFL and has shown some serious improvement.
With a limited amount of practice reps this past week leading up to the matchup at Soldier Field, it's not a shock to see Jenkins resting. Kindle Vildor and Al-Quadin Muhammad were questionable all week and were finally ruled out on Friday's injury report.
We don't completely know what the Chicago Bears expect from the Detroit Lions in Week 10. But they have a real opportunity to get back in the win column with their currently potent offense and scoring possibilities.
