On Saturday, the Chicago Bears released their latest injury report and it does not contain good news ahead of Monday night's game in Pittsburgh.

Already known, Khalil Mack will miss yet another game due to his lingering foot injury. In addition, Damien Williams, J.P. Holtz, and Nick Foles are all out for the Week 9 matchup against the Steelers.

Eddie Jackson is doubtful due to a hamstring injury that forced him to leave last week's game against San Francisco early. Jackson's presence in the secondary was deeply missed in the loss to the 49ers. In addition, Alec Ogletree and Darnell Mooney are also questionable for Monday.

Despite the aforementioned bad news on the injury front, the Bears will likely see one significant player return this week. According to Matt Nagy, running back David Montgomery has a "really good chance" to play on Monday night.

In four games this season, Montgomery has accumulated 309 yards and three touchdowns on 69 carries. In addition, Montgomery was averaging 4.5 yards per carry before going down with an injury against the Lions in Week 4. With Monty's possible return, the Bears can pair the Iowa State product with rookie sensation Khalil Herbert going forward in the backfield.

Overall, the Bears will likely be shorthanded on Monday night against the Steelers. Although Montgomery's looming return is promising, the other names on the injury report raise some concerns.
