The Chicago Bears got a bit of good news before a Thanksgiving Day meeting with the Detroit Lions. Eddie Jackson is back on the field today and his mere presence provides the Bears some much-needed stability in the secondary.
The bad news is that wide receiver Allen Robinson is inactive today. This is likely because the Bears had a short week and with the season nearing complete failure in Week 12, they won't risk Robinson getting any worse.
We already had a good idea that Akiem Hicks was going to miss this game as well as Damien Williams. Both absences are official now.
Good News for the Future
The long-awaited appearance of Teven Jenkins seems to be getting closer. He's been practicing again and it looks like he's progressing very nicely.
If Jenkins can suit up this season, then he needs to get as many reps in as possible. His rookie season is already a gigantic letdown, but it can be salvaged by learning and staying healthy in the latter stages.
The Bears are ready to take on the Lions this Thanksgiving and the injuries are aplenty. Eddie Jackson is back and will be a huge bonus for the team. They look to avoid a sixth consecutive loss and giving the Lions their first victory of the season.
