Chicago Bears wide receiver/returner Jakeem Grant had a breakout game against the Packers on Sunday Night football. His efforts earned him NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Grant recorded the longest punt return for a touchdown in team history. His 97-yard score beat out Devin Hester's previous record. In total, Grant returned three punts for 131 yards.
Grant's Special Teams Effort
The return was electric, giving the Bears a needed first-half boost. Grant is the first Bears player since Hall of Fame Nominee Devin Hester to win NFC Player of the Week.
Grant's Offensive Effort
On the offensive side of the ball, Jakeem Grant also found a way to contribute. He ran a 46-yard pitch to the end zone to open up the scoring.
He logged an additional rush for five yards and saw two pass targets. Despite Grant's effort, the Bears still lost to the Packers.
