The Bears will be without Jakeem Grant Sr. for the rest of Monday night's game. The receiver/returner is out with a concussion and won't return.
Grant Sr. went to the medical tent with an undisclosed injury. At first, Bears' sideline reporter Mark Grote assumed he was being treated for a concussion. The doctor who specializes in concussion protocol was there alongside Grant Sr. He walked into the tent under his own power, a good sign, before leaving the game for good.
Jakeem Grant Sr. has been a special player for the Chicago Bears this year. He set a franchise record for the longest punt return touchdown in Bears' history last week against the Packers. He became a fan-favorite after the Dolphins traded him to Chicago in October. The NFL selected him to the Pro Bowl and announced it only hours before the Monday Night Football game.
Khalil Herbert will likely take over the role as a return specialist in Grant's absence for the remainder of the game.
